The Team

Marcus Walter, Principal

Marcus has been working in the exploration/mining industry for over 25 years. Originally qualified as a cartographer he has spent time in various different aspects of mining from surveying and database management to resource estimation.

Marcus has in excess of 20 years experience in land management and concentrates his efforts in strategic land management issues, quality control and assisting clients manage aboriginal heritage and native title negotiations.

Maryanne Walter, Finance/Accounting

Maryanne has previously worked in the banking sector for 10 years and then moved her skills to Tenement Management for a further 10 years. Having retired from tenement management Maryanne now focuses on providing the full accounting service for M & M including payroll.

Jeff Woodman, Senior Mining Title Consultant

Originally from Kalgoorlie, Jeff has spent 20 years in the mining industry starting out working as a survey assistant, blasting expert and heavy machine operator. Jeff’s main focus is now in providing advice and completing all facets of general tenement compliance and reporting within Western Australia.

Angela Plummer, Senior Mining Title Consultant

Angela has worked for several tenement management consulting firms including setting up her own business in 2007. In 2009 Angela joined MMWC bringing with her several clients and approx 10 years of extensive knowledge in Western Australia, Northern Territory & Queensland compliance work.

Angela is responsible for ensuring that renewals and drop-off provisions are complied with as well as managing a portfolio of objection matters in the Wardens Court.

Sue McKay, Senior Mining Title Consultant

Sue has been working in the exploration/mining industry for over 20 years mainly in Tenement Management. Sue has worked in-house for several mining companies in administrative & tenement management roles.

Sue is responsible for the management of tenements in Northern Territory, South Australia, Queensland and provides backup support for management of Western Australian titles.

Alf Valentine, Mining Title Consultant

Alf has almost 10 years experience in Tenement Management with extensive experience in Queensland, Western Australia, New South Wales and the Northern Territory. Alf has come from a technical background serving in the Australian Airforce and the Bureau of Meteorology.

As a true all-rounder Alf provides support in whichever area he is required including managing a portfolio of objections in the Wardens Court.

Greg Abbott, Native Title Consultant

Greg has joined MMWC from the Native Title Unit at DMP's Tenure and Native Title Branch where he started in 1995. His time spent in the NTU has allowed him to develop an intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the Native Title Act. Having attended thousands of NNTT conferences as the State representative Greg has built a good rapport with many tenement applicants, their representatives and of course the native title claimant representatives.

Greg will streamline our RSHA processes and our AHA knowledge, and provide advice in how to best deal with objections through the NNTT across Australia.

Kirstyn Harney, Mining Title Consultant

Kirstyn comes from a legal background and previously worked for two large commercial law firms whilst completing university. She gained experience in commercial litigation, the provision of general commercial advice, the drafting and preparation of various agreements and the administration of construction contracts.

Since completing university she has moved into tenement management with her main focus on Wardens Court Objections and associated Agreements.

Tomas Walter, Mining Title Consultant

Tomas has already 2 years experience in Tenement Management within Western Australia. His main focus will be on the huge Western Australia tenement rent roll ensuring that rents are correct and paid on time.

Tomas will also assist with the completion of compliance work for new applications and correspondence with other land stake holders as well as other general tenure matters. Tomas is also completing an Accounting Degree.

Martin Wiedemann, Mining Title Consultant

Martin comes from a Finance background where he has turned his skills into those required in Tenement Management. With only limited exposure he is providing a valuable service in compliance work for new applications and general Western Australian Tenement Management. With more experience Martin will prove to be a valuable member of our team.

Toni Eaton, Office Manager

Toni comes from an admin/retail environment and is responsible for the vast filing system including the retrieval of documents and licence documents from our register.

Toni also also looks after the general management of the office environs.
